Join us in submitting complaints to the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB):
1) Write a statement about why the pipeline is bad for Iowa and save it as a PDF for easy upload. Need some examples? Check out comments shared by Iowans.
2) Click here, then look at the top of the page you will see the link to “Submit Filing.” You can “Submit filing as guest.” Be sure to enter Docket HLP-2014-0001 as the docket/filing title. Enter a clear title for your letter–“Revoke DAPL Permit” is a good one!
3) Upload your statement PDF.
3) Click that “submit filing” and you’re done…but we encourage you to ALSO send your comments to your local papers as a letter to the editor.
The recent decision by a federal judge ordering a review of the environmental concerns brought forward by the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux tribes opens the door for the state of Iowa to reconsider the permit.
