Cutting Through Iowa

Map of Pipeline route IA

18 counties… The proposed route for the Energy Transfer Partners Bakken Pipeline would cut through the entire state of Iowa.

Support our work to help stop the proposed Bakken Pipeline.

We’re working to change the conversation in all 18 counties along the pipeline route – and beyond! We’re placing ads in key areas along the proposed pipeline route to let folks know – this pipeline is NOT a done deal!

Can you contribute $5, $25, $80, or more to help us make ads along the pipeline route happen? Ever dollar counts!

Odds are, you know someone that lives in at least one of these counties, or maybe you even do yourself. The proposed path not only cuts through all of these counties, it also cross every major watershed in Iowa, some of which are already impaired waterways. Pipelines break, they have spills, they crack. What if a pipeline spills over a watershed? Or even breaks entirely? This path is putting Iowans in danger.

Go here to help us let Iowans across the state know – this is not a done deal: http://tiny.cc/nobakkenads

Even if landowners do not give up their land to the Energy Transfer Partners, the company intends to use eminent domain if they don’t comply, forcing Iowans to give up their land to maintain this path.

In the end, this path effects all Iowans, even if it doesn’t directly soil land in your own county, it’s only a matter of time where the risks of the construction of this pipeline out weigh any gain that there may be.
