Rally at the Capitol Saturday, July 1st!

Tell Iowa to Revoke the Dakota Access Pipeline Permit!

Mni Wiconi – Water Is Life descends on Des Moines, Iowa with music, rousing speeches, a touch of comedy, and a call to action!

Our friends at Indigenous Iowa have organized a great event this Saturday. Will you join us as we stand together and call for the Dakota Access pipeline permit to be revoked?

It is the perfect time to tell Gov. Reynolds to appoint someone to the Iowa Utilities Board who’s not a pawn of the fossil-fuel industry. Gov. Branstad’s recent appointment of Richard Lozier, an attorney working for the pipeline company, is a slap in the face to all of us who care about our precious Iowa, especially given the recent federal judge’s opinion that environmental concerns brought forward by the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux tribes had not been adequately reviewed in the permitting process.

Remind Iowans that if the Iowa Supreme Court rules against the Iowa Utilities Board’s abuse of eminent domain, Energy Transfer Partners could be required to stop flowing oil and dig-up the pipeline — a potentially fatal blow to the black snake.
