Demand the IUB Hold Dakota Access Accountable!

Join us Tuesday, August 16th as we demand the Iowa Utilities Board hold Dakota Access accountable!

Dear Fellow Pipeline fighters,

As Dakota Access begins construction, it is clear that they have no regard for Iowa Utility Board’s rules, landowners in Iowa, or our precious resources.

Based on reports from landowners and our pipeline watchdogs, Dakota Access is not in compliance with the law or their contractual obligations with landowners but there is no place to report violations or have them addressed.

The Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) must create a system for handling complaints and violations of the law.

Though our ultimate goal is stop the pipeline all together, we must ensure that land owners are being treated fairly, the land respected, and that construction is done with as little impact as possible.

We need the IUB to do its job to protect landowners and hold Dakota Access accountable for how it does business.

Join us Tuesday, Aug 16 at 10:30 am at the IUB office at 1375 E. Court Avenue Des Moines, Iowa 50319.

We’ll hold a press conference and demand that IUB appoint a person to field complaints, investigate possible violations, enforce the requirements of the permits and contractual agreements and report back to the public.

The Iowa Utility Board created this mess, now they need to do their job and hold Dakota Access Accountable!

Lets know if you can make it, RSVP here. You can follow the facebook event here.
